Livigno, the home of skiing in the heart of the Italian Alps
Among the best known and most popular alpine resorts in Italy, Livigno is a real must for skiers and snowboarders.
Just a few steps away from the Swiss border, Livigno is famous for its snowparks, slopes and downhills.
With its 100 sq km of skiable area, 115 km of slopes (12 black, 37 red and 29 blue), 6 cable cars, 11 ski lifts and 14 chair lifts, Livigno is the cradle of Italian skiing. Those who come here go downhill, snowboard, freeride or alpine skiing. Whereas, for cross-country skiing, there are 30 kilometers of slopes that wind along the entire valley.
But Livigno in winter is also perfect for non-skiers. In Valandrea and Val Federia woods, but also on the winter track, you can ride a fat bike or walk with snowshoes, go paragliding or do winter trail (the 27 km of pedestrian tracks offer unique views). Families with children can walk with llamas and alpacas, ice skate or go on "frozen" go-karts, while adrenaline lovers can whiz on a snowmobile. And everyone can relax at Aquagranda, one of the largest indoor water parks in Europe.
It’s impossible to get bored: Livigno is the cradle of sport and entertainment, and it is the queen of the Italian Alps.
